The vast majority of our rentals include Theft Protection, Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), local taxes, airport surcharges and any road fees. You'll pay for any ‘extras' when you pick your car up, along with any young driver, additional driver or one-way fees – but we'll explain any additional costs before you book your car (and taking your own child seats or GPS can be an easy way to reduce your costs). For more details on what's included, just check the Ts&Cs of any car you're looking at.
Pros: I gave National a poor review because their final credit card charge was twice what I had reserved the car for. I will now have to go through the process of disputing the charge with my credit card company. I spent a lot of time researching companies, vehicles and prices as I was looking for a one way rental. Now I have to spend even more time getting the price honored.

There is a lot more to Dallas than gridiron Cowboys and memories of J.R. Ewing. The downtown area is peppered with impressive architecture, first-rate eateries, and shops galore. And in neighboring Fort Worth, 30 miles away and closing, you'll find historical buildings, the infamous Stockyards, and the hundred-years-young Sundance Square. In order to take full advantage of all the area has to offer, getting a rental car is the way to go. Whether you choose to pick up your rental car at the airport or from one of the many car rental companies in Dallas, you will find some useful information below to help you get the right rental car for the right price.
Pros: The rental car center at DFW is a somewhat longer than expected bus ride from your terminal, but busses seem to run on a regular basis. Once at the center, preferred customers are identified on a giant board with the space number marked and you just proceed to your car. Once you check out at the exit, you are on your way. Returns are just as easy, return to the center, get your receipt, and head toward the bus to your terminal.

Yes, some rental companies accept debit cards for reservations, though they may ask for additional identification and proof of insurance when you book. Even if you can pay with a debit card, some car rental locations require a credit card for the deposit. Be sure to check the terms and conditions. If you don't own a credit card, you may not be permitted to rent a car. Cash, prepaid cards, and gift cards are never accepted for reservations.
